If lawyers and clients can’t agree on everything, it’s still easy for both groups to align on the value of predictability, which has been fueling a greater interest in artificial intelligence. Nationwide labor and employment specialist Fisher Phillips is just the latest example.

The firm has turned to New Law outfit LegalMation not just to draw predictions from the firm’s internal data but to help integrate it with data collected from public sources in order to reach a “360-degree view” of the likely outcomes of litigation. Thomson Reuters also has a hand in the three-way effort.
