James M. Lee is co-founder and CEO of LegalMation. He is a founding partner of LTL Attorneys LLP, a nationally recognized litigation boutique. As an experienced litigator, he has tried numerous cases in federal and state courts. He has been recognized as a top business litigator by various legal publications including the National Law Journal. James has served as lead counsel to a number of Fortune and multinational clients including Wal-Mart, Thomson Reuters, Symantec, and VIZIO. He was formerly associated with litigation powerhouse Quinn Emanuel before co-founding LTL Attorneys. He is a frequent and noted speaker and commentator in the field of AI and innovations in the field of law. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School, and his B.S. from the University of Southern California. At LegalMation, James serves as the key driver of the Company’s vision and strategy.
Thomas Suh is co-founder and President of LegalMation. He brings a unique combination of legal and business experience to the Company. Most recently, he served as the managing partner of LTL Attorneys LLP, a nationally recognized litigation boutique based in California. Thomas co-founded several technology-leveraging companies including a business process outsourcing service focused on providing back office support to accounting firms. He also served as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte where he provided strategic consulting services to multinational companies. In the early 2000s, Thomas served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of DestinationRx (now DRX and part of Connecture, NASDAQ: CNXR). During the same time period, Thomas also served as a Project Director at an early-stage venture capital firm and technology incubator, where he helped launch numerous “dot-com” startups in various industries. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. At LegalMation, Thomas is charged with primary operational responsibility.
Enoch H. Liang is a co-founder of LegalMation and a founding partner of LTL Attorneys LLP. He is an experienced IP attorney, and has litigated all facets of IP disputes (including patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and idea theft claims). Enoch has served clients across numerous industries including in technology, retail, cosmetics, automotive, and entertainment, in cases venued in California, Delaware, Texas, New York, as well as in China and Hong Kong. Enoch is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected to the “Super Lawyers” list by Thomson Reuters multiple times, both in Southern and in Northern California. Most recently, he was named to the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Lawyers List for 2018. In 2016, the World Trademark Review named Enoch as a “Recommended Expert” in trademark litigation. Also in 2016, the BTI Consulting Group honored Enoch as a “Client Service All-Star,” one of only 30 IP attorneys nationwide in the entire report. American Law Media and Martindale-Hubbell also rated Enoch as a “2014 Top Rated Lawyer in Intellectual Property Law.” He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, and his B.A. from The Ohio State University.
James W. (JW) Lee is CTO of LegalMation. He directs strategic technology initiatives and leads the company’s product development team. With over 20 years of experience in software development and enterprise information technology, he has held numerous leadership roles within a variety of technical domains ranging from machine learning imaging solutions to online AI assistants to massively scalable media platforms. Formerly as CTO of Fishermen Labs he helped the digital agency earn the ranking of the 4th fastest growing private company from the Los Angeles Business Bureau by delivering software solutions for companies such as Walmart, Sony, and the United Nations. JW has also served as CTO of Building Safety Solutions where he led the development of emergency preparedness and incident response systems for signature corporate properties such as the One World Trade Center in New York and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. He also served as Director of Engineering at Kirus, Inc, where he led the development of a global reverse supply chain system. Other notable roles include system architect at Versura, the first reverse auction web portal for educational loans. James received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and has completed graduate work at the University of Minnesota.
Celso de Melo serves as a consultant to LegalMation’s technical team. Celso earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Southern California with a focus on artificial intelligence techniques (e.g., machine learning).
Tim Fox is primarily responsible for developing the Company’s solutions/outputs. Tim’s background as an experienced litigation attorney and network administrator, provide him the skills to bridge legal work with technology. Tim is an experienced attorney who has handled various types of business disputes, including cases involving patents, trademarks and copyrights, software defects, consumer technologies, trade secrets, and product liability. Tim was selected as a SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2016 and 2017 by Thomson Reuters. Prior to law school, Tim served as a Network Administrator for Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, where he provided IT support for the southwest region. He received his J.D. from the University of Southern California, and his B.S. in Computer Information Systems, from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
David Crane is primarily responsible for managing content for the continued development of the Company’s solutions. David has experience with all aspects of civil litigation in both federal and state court, including motion practice and trial work. David is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law, where he represented the law school in numerous Moot Court competitions at both the state and national levels.
Hanh Luong is primarily responsible for the development of LegalMation’s technology platform. Hanh served at Cisco Systems for over 14 years as a senior software engineer and has extensive experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning. At Cisco he developed 3 patents and was on various teams working on customer facing issues. Before Cisco he worked at Raytheon on the FLIR tracking system for the F/18 Super Hornet. He earned his B.S.E.E. from the University of California, Santa Barbara where he focused primarily on semiconductor and Computer Engineering.
Mihui Pak is Vice President, Product for LegalMation. As a former litigator at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, Mihui worked on a variety of cases including insurance, antitrust, corporate, eminent domain, and criminal matters. She also practiced in the Corporate Investigations and White Collar Group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. She started as a summer associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson, LLP. Mihui also clerked for two federal judges: the Honorable Rya W. Zobel in the District of Massachusetts and the Honorable Martin L.C. Feldman in the Eastern District of Louisiana. As an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School, she developed and taught an advanced legal writing seminar. Mihui received her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard University.
Jonathan Crane is primarily responsible for developing and leading the strategic planning of all LegalMation projects. He has experience building out artificially-intelligent systems and developing platforms from the ground up. Most recently he managed the creation of a proprietary A.I. system that makes investment decisions in the business-to-business lending space. He has experience working with various software development methodologies and has managed projects involving all areas of software development including engineering design efforts, backend development, and customer-facing UI/UX work. Jonathan received his undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, and Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Richard Lau is instrumental in the continued development and production of LegalMation’s content and products.
While attending Cornell Law School, Richard served as a Production Editor/Content Developer for James Publishing where he edited legal practice handbooks on a variety of legal subject matters.
Neil served as the Worldwide Business Development Leader for IBM Watson™, with direct reporting responsibility to IBM’s CEO, Ginny Rometty.
In the Watson Ecosystem team, Neil identified opportunities that can shape the next generation of products and services.
He worked with clients and business partners to disrupt existing solutions, create new markets, and bring game changing solutions into reality.
As an IBM Master Inventor, he served as a patent reviewer on the Big Data and Analytics review board, and continued to develop new patents for IBM.
He is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he received his B.S. (Computer Science and Mathematics), and his M.B.A. from UCI’s Paul Merage School of Business, at which he currently serves as a Lecturer.
Mr. Woo proudly spent his entire career at Korean conglomerate, LG. Until his recent retirement, he served as President of LG Electronics, LG’s most successfully and profitable division. Prior to that, he served in various other executive capacities within LG Electronics, including CEO of Great China Region, CEO of the LG Digital Display and Media Company, and President of LG Electronics North American operations and LG Electronics USA, Inc. Due to his incredible accomplishments, Mr. Woo was recognized around the world as a visionary leader in the consumer electronics field, having received numerous awards from various countries. Mr. Woo received a bachelor’s degree in physics at Seoul National University and graduated in business administration at the same university.
